Seeing how the new laws prohibit the sale of new bikes and parts for bikes intended for kids under 13 years old I bought a junker and have been re-building it. It is a 1990 Susuki DS80. My daughter's first bike. :ride:

The tires were gone, cables stuck, stator cover missing ect. ect. Being that individuals can still sell parts for bikes and Ebay I have gotten all the parts needed, got it running and took a first ride yesterday but...

The pin that goes into the clutch cover keeps popping up out of the clutch cover. When this happens you have no clutch! I rode it back up the drive in second and killed the motor at the shop door. Twice I unhooked the clutch cable, reinstalled the disengagement pin and re-hooked up the cable. Still the pin pops up outa the case loosing all control of the clutch. :yikes:

Obviously I can't teach the girl to ride like this. :bang:
Any sugestions?
Thanks for reading and help!
