Suzuki dr200, yes or no

Im turning 17 in april and last summer my father bought me a suzuki dr200 dual sport. im about 5'8 and 155 lb. Do you think that this is a good bike.

That DR200 is an AWESOME bike as long as you use it for its intended use. It is not a MX bike and if yo treat it like one (jumping, over reving the motor) it wont last very long.. Ride it with respect and it will last a LONG time!! They are REALLY fun trail bikes and great for toolin around town!!
I wish I had one in my stable!!

I think that Woodsy's reply was right on the money. I own a similar type of bike (2002 Yamaha XT225), and I think that it is a terrific motorcycle for its intended purpose. I am looking at buying a more specialized dirt bike (e.g., CRF250X, GasGas EC300, KTM 300EXC, etc.), but I am still going to keep the XT225. I hope that you enjoy your bike.
