It also helps to lay two 4"x4" wooden blocks on the floor and lay the bike on it's side so that the frame is supported by the blocks.

I also like to include a six pack with anything like this. It can be frustrating. Be careful not to mushroom the end of the bolt or it wont fit through. Good luck!

When left unmaintained the races and bushings wear into the bolts, not just the swingarm, all of them! With a load on them you are fighting a losing battle. Take the load off first, then use something between your bfh and the threads, piece of wood or brass. If the angle is not to great or you are a little inclined, fashion a big c clamp to press it out with no issues.
