SwingArm Chain Protector Covering

1990 Kawasaki KDX 200

The rubber swingarm protector chain-guide covering stuff that's screwed into the front of the swingarm near the countershaft sprocket...

Do you absoutely *HAVE* to replace this with a factory ordered part?

Has anyone just fabricated there own and had decent results?

I'm only asking ahead of time before I bother calling the dealer to order the part. Sometimes parts are discontinued, so I wanted to already be formulating a game-plan if I find out this part is discontinued as well.

FYI - The plastic covering that goes over the Countershaft is discontinued already. :bang:

Just order a new one from some online retailer.

They run around $30 and are still in production for the 90 kdx 200

Coolness. I was just preparing myself just in case they once again told me some part was discontinued.
