As you may have read, DRN moved to a new server and datacenter (in Dallas) over the holiday weekend. As a follow-up I'd like to hear from you. Please take the poll?

We've invested a lot of time and money to upgrade DRN to the next level and would like to see how it effects our member's "browsing experience".

Thanks!

DRN is so much faster, I can get through the forums quickly and still have time to do real work! :)

There's no option for "my computer is still too slow." :ugg:

Forum surfing seems slower, pages are slow to load, more so than on other sites. :bang:
I will admit that there is construction down the street and phone lines are being replaced, so the connection here at work may not be up to snuff.

I voted faster, and it has not locked up my computer yet like before. (I have only been on twice since the upgrade, though.) So far, so good.

Seems about the same to me. But, my home computer is a total slug ever since I upgraded to XP and the firewall at work is messin with me too.

I voted slower, but i would change that if I could, because it's the computers at work not the site. At home it's much faster. Our servers are super slow or something.

faster...it was a real slug last coupla days but I can never tell if it's the network as it can get overloaded or the site itself. Today I'm kicking right along!!

I was going to ask if something had changed with your servers. For the past two weeks maybe more connecting and surfing through DRN has been much slower.

It doesn't matter whether I'm at work or home the connection is slow.

Doesn't stop me from visiting. Still the best site dirt bike site that I have used for the past couple of years.

You might want to give your ISP a call and ask if anything is up there.... it's doubtful they'll admit to throttling back or routing problems, but hey, you never know.

The only thing that's changed here is that the site is no longer hosted on a Chevy, now a Porsche and in a data center with a HUGE, redundant pipes to the web.

If you'd like to find out where the bottleneck is, do a tracert on dirtrider.net.

If there's a traffic jam between you and the grocery store, it doesn't matter what you're driving.
