In case anyone interested...

I am planning on going to Rocky Ridge this coming Sunday to put the new YZ to the test! I'll be out there with my twin sons in tow.

I usually set up by the lake. If any other DRNers go out there, look for a green '99 suburban pulling a utility trailer. I will probably have a green and white striped shade structure put up as well.

It would be nice to get some fellow DRNers out there so I can put names and faces together.

SloMo? Patman? Taraker? How bout it guys?

not goin' racing...

Since this is just a play riding day w/ the kiddos I am sticking with the plan of going to Rocky Ridge...

I do want to make it out to a TTCRA event in the near future though.

I figure I am getting to old to MX and that looks like fun :)

It is in Valley View, TX just North of Denton.
It is a private park that is about 1300 acres (or more). Terrain is varied.

Here is a blurb from spodekill's web site:

+++
Rocky Ridge - Valley View, Texas
Take I-35 north to the Valley View exit. Take 922 west to Era (about 7 miles). Turn left onto FM 51.
RR is about 5 miles on the right. Call 940-466-3792 for more info.

Open only Friday at 5:00 PM to Sunday 9:00 PM. $10 per person (riding or not).

GPS Coordinates: N33 25 018 W97 26 683

Nice place for the family. Small fishing lake, RV hookups, & camping. Varied terrain. Some nice (for Texas) hill climbs. A nice cross country loop with some mildly technical sections. Plenty of open fields for the kids to ride around on. Lots of senseless jumps with no transitions to land on. Rocky Ridge is a great place to play ride just for fun. Experienced riders will find it too small to be worth the admission price.

Since I have kids that is one of the reasons I go there...

FWIW - I usually go to Muenster (2:1 ratio of Muenster to RR).

Both places are exactly what you make of them.

Think the trails @ RR are lame? Try shifting up a gear and twisting the thing on the right...:p

Hill climb @ RR too lame? Again, Try shifting up a gear...:p You'll get some air at the top.
