Hey all,
Thanks for the support and the cool replies. I have to say that I was pretty grumpy last night and that not all healthcare professionals are so horrible with us Mxers. I do have a wonderful physician who understands MX because his nephew rides. Anyway I think he races cars so he can't really give me the lecture.

I was just frustrated, sick of CAT scans, doctors, therapists, etc. and needed a laugh last night.

Next time I'll just tell them I was jumping my dirt bike and landing it on my trampoline so that I could attempt to do a backflip with a half twist over the neighbor's pool and land on the thick patch of ice three houses down. Well... They 're asking for creativity!

It was funny because one of our buddies was told to take up a safer sport like bicycling. Oh yeah, spandex and a styrofoam pad for a helmet racing against cars going well over 65 miles per hour. Humm.....

We told him to ask the docs about down hill mountain biking. :)

I'll be checking into good professional rehab centers in our area.

Hey Aim,

I feel your pain as well when it comes to health care. Just start doing what I do, that is, lie your butt off! I dislocated my shoulder this season, and told everyone (MD's, therapists, work) that I was loading my bike on the trailer and it fell on me. Stupid story, but everyone laughed at my stupidity instead of lecturing me about racing the bike. I'd rather look like a dope then get "the lecture".

My therapist was cool though. I even brought my bike to therapy so he could see it (he wanted to check it out, I think he's thinking about getting one!).

Hopefull yin the future you won't have to deal with people like this, but if you do, just lie! :D
