Is "racer's insurance" required? If so, how much is it?

I rode Chimipmunk last weekend. The trails are in great shape!

Thanks.

Race Insurance.

Yes you do need racer insurance from the CMRC. The price is the same as last year. ($60) You'll also need a PNWMA license. ($10) Sign-up sheets will be available at the start area. I know it's steep for one race, but maybe this will encourage you to come out for more races. The next race, Monkeywrench, is July 4 in Lytton, is a good one too.

Hi Mike, appearently the cmrc is $70 this year. I found out through word of mouth, no formal communication from the pn.
When I asked I was told its $70 I guess I have to brush up on my mind reading skills!

Mind reading skills? I guess we'll BOTH have to brush up on that. I think I'm going to have to smack some people upside the head down here.

See ya at the race.

Thanks to all for the Piston Run.

Thanks to everyone who attended the 55th Annual Piston Run Cross Country.

Gotta say thanks to all the guys that helped out. We appreciate the effort from the Fraser Valley Dirt Riders, Greater Vancouver Motorcycle Club, Cascade Off-Road Club and even average riders that weren't afilliated with any of the clubs. Heck we even got a hand from the Dualsport BC crew.

We also gotta say thanks to all the riders that raced the event. We're impressed that despite the unsavory weather you guys came out and rode. I'm even more impressed that after two hours of sliding over every rock, root and tree in the place, you guys still said the course rocked. You guys are a sick bunch of freaks. (Mind you, you can take pride in being the toughest & most skilled bunch of freaks in BC.) :aj:

Also gotta give props to the sponsors who tried to make sure that every rider didn't go home empty handed. Finisher's mugs were courtesy of Western Powersports. The mug filler (pop) was courtesy of Lakeside Marina Motorsports. The ladies prizes were also courtesy of Lakeside. Richmond Motorsports donated prizes including "hard luck" gift certificates for the DNF'ers. Then 5th Gear Motorsports, Daytona Motorsports, Motorcycle World, Modern Motorcycling, Sylvester Automotive, Rocky Mountain Motorsports, and Pacific Yamaha all kicked in with some killer prizes for the prize draw.

Kudo's to all of you out there that made the Piston Run great. Thanks a bunch and see you next year.
