You got some amazing shots Bob. How about showing the exif data and give some explanation of how you got the shots. Flash, pre-focus, etc. Share the secrets Mister. :)
No secrets bro, but ...
Everything is ISO1600
Typical:
Either Manual or Tv at 1/640 - 1/800
800 pushed it most of the time at f/2.8
Flash on high speed sync, +1 with the 70-200, +0 with the 24-70.
Camera EC was 0
WB Auto
Most shots were with the 70-200, others 24-70
(I was feeling like a poor stepchild out there with all those big white lenses!)
On the Canons you can set custom function 4 to 1, putting focus on one of the buttons on the back of the body, instead of a half-press of the shutter. Set Focus to AI Servo. Focus and let off the button, acts like "One Shot" focus. Hold the button down, you get servo. BIG advantage is that while tracking the subject with AI, exposure is NOT set (happens when you fire the shot). Unlike the shutter button, which tracks in AI, but sets the exposure when you half press ... subject goes into different light, exposure can (mostly will) be wrong.
If I got to a lot of SX, I'd be hocking stuff right now for a 1D MkIIn, but hey, the 20D caught some stuff, even with me behind the wheel.
