Check it out, My 78 DT250 project is soldiering forward..

I just finished replacing the little end bearing, rings, seals, a bent shift shaft, primary and lighting coils, points, condenser, battery, and did a little carb tweaking.

I still have the problem of fouling plugs and running four-stroke style at middle and high rpms - hammering and missing a lot. Part of me wants to replace the iginition coil; I couldn't get an ohm reading between the plug connect and the coil mounting plate. No Bueno per Clymer's. If that doesn't work, I'd like to buy a fresher carby.. any leads on a new corb and coil would be handy...

PS: I call it the Mollusk on account of that species' penchant to climb over anything. Here's to fixing the bike up enough to do the same!

Sweet bike dood! Brings me way back when all my friends had dirtbikes and my parents wouldn't let me around those kids (because they didn't want me to ride one).

I taught them tho, after getting out of the Army I bought a YZ 250 and tore my tendons in my shoulder the first year I owned it. :)
