I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet but examine the ticket for last weeks Steel City Nationals closely and you will see why Bubba was so fast. ;)

I think when the gate drops it is wide open until the checkered flag flies. Also please refer to my thread about making up time on a 250.

It would have nothing to do with him whipping it on a KX250, now would it? ;)

Langston was there throughout and won, bubba wasnt and lost the title because of it, hey i agree with you when you say bubba was the fastest everywhere but langston had more points and won, its that simple. Racer X put a list of other people that maybe shouldnt have won, but hey langston won and is the 125 champion.

Okay, I don't get where you guys are seeing a 250 in that picture. I see black number plates and what looks like 125 on the swing-arm. Hold your horses boys!

I don't think the AMA puts out the tickets (I could be wrong)... I think I saw that picture on the RacerX website... the way I tell is by the pipe, doesn't look like a 125 pipe! I remember RX saying that they wanted to have the number on in the photos, and all they had was the plastic from the 125...

Hows it?-ONe thing I noticed watching Bubba on TV during his interviews is he's always talking about how much fun he's having. If this is true during his races is this a factor for how well he does on his level?I'm thinking it is.How much I don't know but it's harder to be uptight when your truly having fun

Boys, boys, boys. Just look at the pipe. A 125 pipe comes out then back a 250 fakes left then goes right and back. It's the cover of Racer X a few months back.

I think Bubba's recipe goes like this " go as fast as any human ever has on a motocrosser, then go a little faster, then grin because it is soooo much fun to be that fast" I know he could lap me on a 80 and probably beat a lot of the 250 guys on his 125, natural talent, drive, and a MAJOR set of cajones!

Thank-you for the close-up, and the explanation for the # plates. I'm sorry I didn't know the difference between 125 and 250 pipes: my pipe looks different from both!
