BLAST FROM THE PAST 1979 Yamaha OW40 Bob Hannah 1979 AMA 250 National & Supercross Champion In 1978 Bob Hannah had enjoyed an incredible year winning both the 250 outdoor Nationals and the Supercross title. Bob set an AMA record winning 22 motos in a row. In 1979, the OW40 was not ready until the third round of the SX series. Bob and his mechanic Keith McCarty again dominated the 250 Nationals and the Supercross series. There were some very unique setups that McCarty and Hannah came up with.
