Hey all.

Alright I just wanted to know what kind of thoughts people had on mid 70s Husqvarnas. A 75 250 to be exact.

I have the bike mentioned however, it soon may be for sale. I was wondering if there was enough interest in this bike to go through the trouble of putting it for sale on DRN. Of course it would only go on sale here if my uncle didn't want it and if my dad OK'd it.

The bike runs like a champ. Strong all through the powerband. The bike is stock except for a new UNI air filter. The only real problems with it are cosmetic except for a few broken spokes, but information will be given to buyer where to get replacements. But the other problems were a dented tank and a shattered rear fender.

Any takers??

Not a bad Husky if you like Huskys. A weird year to race in my area, cutoff for Vintage is 1974 , so you have to ride in EVO class against longer travel bike. AHRMA has a class with basically 1975-76 and some 1977's in it. You may find some Husky fans who are looking for that bike, but not this one, too in between for me. :(

'75 Huskys are allowed to run in the vintage class. This is from the AHRMA rulebook:


11.1.8 SPORTSMAN 250: Motorcycles manufactured as126-250cc two-strokes or 151-300cc four-strokes through the 1974 model year, and like-design machines. Eligible like-design 1975 model machines include (see Note below):

Bultaco 250 Pursang (serial #135; must use 1974-configuration swingarm)
Can-Am 175 TNT, 250 TNT (also 1976 175 TNT/OR)
CZ 250 Falta (must use 1974-configuration swingarm)
Honda MT250
Husqvarna 250WR
Kawasaki KX250 (also 1976)
Ossa Desert Phantom 250 (must use 1974-configuration swingarm)
Suzuki TM250 (must use 1974-configuration swingarm), also TS model
Yamaha MX175


It may be competitive if you can figure out how to make it turn :debil: and I'm sure you will find a buyer for it. Maybe you should just put some new tires on it and come race with us :aj:

Ok you are correct on the 75 WR250, as I recall it looks just like the 74 Mag. The 75 CR250 is NOT legal in the sportsman. Now we must figure out which bike he has. Didn't the 75 CR have the laid down shock?

The AHRMA rulebook lists the '75-'76 CRs as Historic class bikes. You are right on. They are probably competitive in the right hands though :aj:
So, 326mx, which one is it? Inquiring minds want to know! ;)

Not quite sure... you see my uncle sold me this bike and all I really know is that it is a 250. My uncle's passion in life is restoring old bikes... he has Bultacos(even 2 trials bikes), BSAs Husqvarnas, CZs and more.

This bike has a red tank with a silver area, and duel, angled shocks. The tires are new Pirellis(sp?) but it is the spokes that need fixin. We'll probably send the rear wheel to Hall's Husky.

Sounds like CR with angled dshocks. Check serial numbers at http://www.huskyclub.com/model.htm :eek:

OK, here's my 2 cents worth on a price for you without seeing or hearing it. The way it stands, oh $200-500. If it was race ready (good suspension, plastic, seat, cables, chain, etc, not too pretty but functional) say between $500-800. A clean rideable bike (new plastic, tank repainted, clean yet raceable, not overly nice that you won't drop it), $800-1200. A show room bike $1200 +. Price all depends on what someone is willing to pay for that bike. :ugg:
