Throttle Cable replacement

While working on the bike last night (installing barkbusters) I twisted the throttle, and the throttle cable snapped! It broke off about 3 or 4" from the top of the carburetor. Anyone know if I can just buy a replacement cable somewhere, or do I have to buy the whole assembly (throttle/cable/sheath/carb cap)?

Some bike shops have cable and ends to make up cables. Take 'em your housing and the cable ends and they could 'fix' yours.

Also look for speedo repair shops (not the swimsuits ;) )

As long as they have the correct size ends and know the length, it wouldn't be any big deal.

Good luck! Better in your garage than 20 miles from your rig!
