How long do you think the throttle of any dirtbike could be fully open before something might happen to the engine, like say your racing or something, how long could you keep it full untill it might screw up or will it screw up ??

thanks

well, if you took a bike, threw it in 1st gear, and pinned it, it would probably take about 30 minutes to self destruct.

This is only an edumacated guess...

LOL ;)

I meant if you were riding like normal but say racing and having it on the highest gear and open full throttle, could the bike actually keep on going as fast as it could in the 5 min to say 1 hour or something like that, or does it just screw up or what might happen, this is for an air cooled, 125cc, 4 stroke,

just wondering :D

nope, and if you are in a high enough gear there should be enough airflow to keep the engine cool.

But if you are in 1st gear and your engine does not have a rev limiter its time to say goodbye to your engine.

rev limiters limit the amount of rpms the bike can run at. Smaller bikes usually have them so kids dont redline them. When the rpms get to high the bike sort of boggs and will slow down the rpm

Ok kewl, its kinda hard to belive that nothing would happen to it, so the only thing is that it would run out of gas :O
