I remember reading a post about oil, and what most prefered. I can't find it now. But any way i have a 97 klx 300 i change the oil after about every 3rd ride. I have been using Bel-Ray exl 10-40.

what do most of you use, i think a synthetic would be better, i remebmer most recommended mobil one, i think?

ThumperPower, the only Mobil1 you should consider is 15W50/red cap. It is not rated "energy conserving". The friction modified E/C oils do evil things to your clutch.I believe it was Rich who cautioned that bikes having been run awhile on conventional oils should probably stick with them to avoid cluch problems,since the plates have become "accustomed" to the friction properties of normal oil.Jonny426

So You think i should stick with with Bel-Ray Exl 10-40?

I would appreciate any other thoughts on this topic. Does anyone remember the oil that most recommended from the previously mentioned thread?
