Ignition timing or cam timing?

Your ignition timing is set and can't be changed.

Most likely your cam timing is a tooth off. Refer to your service manual for the correct way to set your cam timing. If you don't have a service manual, you should get one.

Also, if the bike has been sitting for a while, your carb may be gummed up. Especially if it had race gas in it. Clean the carb.

PRetty easy to time the cams. Find the TDC mark on the flywheel, then the hash marks on both cams will be level with the top of the head. Exhaust lobes will point forward on the bike like 10 oclock position and intake will point back at like 2:30 position

Get a manual if you need more help
