top end is piston, rings, and connectin rod and rod bearings. bottom end refers to the crank shaft and all of the gears and clutch.

Errr.. wrong

Top end does not include the rod... It only includes the piston, rings and wristpin & bearing.

The rod, Crank and rod bearing are part of the bottom end.

Clutch is not part of a bottom end rebuild.. That would be a clutch rebuild.
