How much would I gain if I change my gearing on yz250 2003 from 13-49 to 14-49? This gearing is ok for the track but in the woods I need a bit more speed!!

Thanks!!!

It will depend on if you are limited by the RPM the engine can turn or if you are running out of horsepower.

If horsepower is not the limit then you will go approximately 14/13ths faster.

So, if your top speed was 70 MPH before, you will go 70 * 14/13 = 75 MPH.

Keep in mind that it is going to have the same impact on your bottom end. In order to be "on the pipe" you will need to climb the hill 14/13ths faster. When you want to creep down the hill your engine braking will be reduced by 13/14ths.
