Just installed chain and sprockets as well as new rear pads. When I torque the rear axle nut to the recommended 72 ft/lbs the rear wheel becomes hard to spin. If I loosen the axle nut the wheel spins freely so I know the pads aren't rubbing. Do I need new spacers or bearings? There is no side to side wheel play. Thanks for the help :)

I felt with my finger what I thought was the spacer in the hub between the bearings. Don't know if it was in one piece or more, I was able to move it around inside the hub. I did not remove the bearings or anything, so I guess this would be my next step to see what is going on inside the hub? I can't see any cracks in the hub itself.
