I have a 2001 CR250 and the manual calls for 59 lb/ft of torque on the linkage bolts. Is this accurate or have any of you experienced problems with this setting?

I stripped the threads on the nut for one of the linkage bolts and it was not cross-threaded. My torque wrench may be off, but I wanted to verify the torque specs with some of you.

Thanks!

Hey dude,
I have an '00 model and it calls for 59# and 65# for another part of the linkage . 33 # for the shock top and bottom.
I have taken mine apart 4 or 5 times now and I also stripped out one of those bolts/nuts. You are right they can't take that amount of torque.
I have since assembled it with not as much torque with no problems so far.
My chain adjuster bolts also stripped out and I had to retap the swingarm.
Minor problems......bad a$$ bike.
See ya

I stripped out one too. I called dealer who gave me Honda phone number.
They never returned my complaint. But at 59ft/lbs they wont last long
I think the torque spec is for bolt large diameter. BOLT has stepped down smaller diameter Thread size. (Not straight bolt). I’m using 45 ft/lb
