you may remember reading this thread about some friends of ours; kendall's friend who was injured, then lost her father the following weekend:

http://dirtrider.net/forums3/showthread.php?t=99679&highlight=girl+rider

well, the girl's mother died yesterday of melanoma. three children, amber 15, lance 14 and melissa 8, lost their parents in a period of less than five months. the kids have moved back to wyoming (they had opened a business here in oklahoma several years ago) where they have other family. they were a good, close racing family and good friends of ours. if you are so inclined, you may send cards or notes to:

Just unbelievable when we hear things like this. Our family will keep them in our thoughts and prayers.
Keep us posted if something gets organized to help them out in any way- they will need all the support they can get.
Kind of puts everything I have gone thru this year into the perspective of being miniscule when you see a Family go thru these back to back to back tragedies

Ditto what Dave said. Things like this are beyond tragic and make my problems pale in comparison.

Jay, I was hoping this was the thread about the dad resurrected, not another one. My sincere condolences to the family. Words don't do justice. :(

So sad. :(

Reminds me of the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition episode I saw last year. 8 kids lost both of their parents within 2 weeks of each other due to heart incidents. The show's team came in and remodeled their home for them and then Sears paid off their mortgage. Talk about a tear jerker.

Maybe a friend of the family could write in to the show about the family. All the home makeovers are done in California and they help out families in need or those who have suffered a tragic loss.
