Thanks to everyone who helped out on Trailfest. TCT and FredT came up early to help layout the course and we got WET. We had support riders, sweep crew, gas trucks and, of course, the cooks at the Trailfest Feast.
We donated $5 of every entry towards the Lake City HS trip to Costa Rica. This group cooked the lunch and set up our dining area at the fire hall. The fire chief told me Saturday night that the young ladies collected over $700 - so there were some extra donations and it was appreciated.
We did get wet on Saturday morning, but the afternoon was prime riding conditions. Who won Trailfest? I was riding sweep, so I do not know. In my opinion, the only losers were the ones who decided not to come to the event or not ride due to the weather conditions.
We are already working on Trailfest 2012. If the Matthews National enduro keeps the date of October 14th. Trailfest will be on October 20, 2012.
