tranny oil question

got a 95 rm 250 and been putting in silkolene light gear oil everything has been fine,went to the shop today and didnt have the same stuff so i brought putoline medium gear oil.will this still be ok to use as i do change my oil after every couple of rides?

I've used everything from 15w50 Mobil1 to Synthetic ATF. . . The only issue I've experienced is a bit of clutch slippage with certain lubes. . .

Change it often and you should be fine.
