I have a new 2006 TTR-125L which I believe is standard with a 14t sprocket. I want to get a 15t sprocket but I have heard that it does not fit with the case on. Is this true? Does anyone know where I can get a 15t sprocket, and does it come with a clip that fits with it to hold it on.

We decided to have a rear sprocket made for my son when he was on a TTR. I believe it was Sprocket Specialists and the cost was no biggie. 3-4 teeth smaller on rear will bring same results. Invest in a quality chain and chain guide too........stock chain WILL break, and go right thru engine case!

Unless the gearing changed for ' 06, it's 13/54.

A 14 tooth countershaft sprocket should fit with no problems.

I have a 2006 ttr 125L and the gear ratio is 13/49. I just looked it up. So i should go for a 14t front and probably a 45 or something tooth rear?

That would be a HUGE change! One tooth on countershaft equals about a 3-4 tooth change on the rear.........If I remember right, the TTR works well with either a 1 tooth bigger change on front, or lose 4 teeth on the rear. I think we ordered a rear with 5 less teeth.......made it good for a 11-12 year old trail rider.

I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish, but mine worked well with a 14t countershaft sprocket. No need to change the rear.

Thinking we could never find a 14t countershaft sprocket.....but this was about 4 years ago.
