Eric,

I recently bought a 97 Cr285 that you did the top end, Mo Better Ported, and punched out to a 285 (Is this 1mm over?).
Last summer I was revving it hard up a hill when it lost all compression and died. I finally took it apart yesterday and found much of the plating (mostly on top) had chipped away. :( The piston and head look good and it obviously needs to be replated. What kind of charge am I looking at for replating and is it normal for one to chip like this? I have the cylander boxed and ready to roll out the door. Anything else I need to look at and include when sending to you?

The plating probably peeled from a head gasket leak. The kit you have is 2mm oversize and 265cc. I've got 8 cylinders in stock for fast trade-ups.
