two way radios

Looking for something to use at the larger events. Thinking it would be really nice to have some lightweight headsets, as opposed to the handhelds, but have never used any.

Would like to hear some experiences associated with them either way, Thanx.

If you can afford them, Motorola's are by far the best two-ways on the market.

I agree with Jaybird... Motorollas are very good, and I dont think they are that exspensive. I found a website not to long ago, that was pretty reasonable. www.myradiomall.com.

I wanted Motorolas but I got a better deal on the Cobras, plus they are water resistant. A friends Motorola died the other day when it got wet from a little rain. I also have a set of Midland FRS radios that have held up well, I have had them since 1996.

Yes, personal 2-ways are a bit less expensive than the one I use. My Motorola is on a trunking system and lists for over $700.

I was a bit quick to reply on this one.
