tying the bike to the car...

ive been trying to figure out good ways to do this since i got the setup... i have a hitch carrier, and am trying to figure out how to tie my bike on without it resting on the back window of the car. anyone have any good ideas? everytime i carry it, it rests on the window and i know one day itll shatter with one good bump... can anyone help?

Maybe try and put some foam in between the bike and your car and tie it down as tight as possible? Or a blanket.

You can buy a hitch extension which will place the carrier a bit farther away from the back of the car. You can buy these hitch extensions at trailer/RV supply stores.
