Tyler Evans Take Out

It may have seemed like a desperate last minute take out move but I think the consipracy goes much deeper.
Much like a prom queen pretty boy Tyler Evans spent all week tanning, perfecting his makeup application techniques and plucking his eyebrows, just to discover Johnson on the starting line of the Vancouvers LCQ (Tylers personal prom) wearing the same Oneal gear, so he did what any aspiring prom queen would do....took Johnson out. There is only room for one queen at any prom. I bet from now on Johnson makes sure that he is not wearing the same gear as Evans.

Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction....lol

After watching it in slow mo it appears Johnson was in the process of dropping the bike when TE made the move, if not that would have been the best save I have ever seen. It appeared that both of them felt the other guy was at fault.

The events after were completely out of line for both of them.

From my vantage point in BC Place that night, I don't believe Evans took out Johnson. It appeared to be a pass gone bad and should have ended at that. Tyler's elbow throw to the throat while picking up bikes was the true take out move. It was a cheap, punk move that should have resulted in fines to both riders.

Evans is a punk and should be suspended. It looked to me like Johnson was simply defending himself.

There's a pattern of this sort of behavior, for one of them.

That's probably the one who should be fined.

I agree the ebow was uncalled for, but had Johnson been heading toward his handle bars instead of toward Evans that elbow couldn't have reached him.

what were you watching? johnson was headed for his bike until he saw evans running at him, thats when he stepped back and got elbowed..d

Bad pass, Evans bike is on the inside, Johnson's up higher on the berm with his handle bars near Evans' back tire, Johnson would have had to go around the back of Evans' bike to pick his up. Evans is running back, head down looking right at his handle bars. Johnson steps toward Evans (the oppisite way he needs to go to pick up his bike) and shakes his hands at Evans. (I understand this, he is probably saying What the F### is the matter with you?) Evans throws the elbow (probably saying F### off) and goes right on trying to pick his bike up until Johnson pushes him. Right at that time the next rider goes by.

Yes the elbow was uncalled for, but Evans was trying to get back on the bike and back in the race, Johnson was just standing in the track being stupid. If he had went around and picked his bike up the same time Evens did they would both have had a chance to be moving again before the next rider went by, so one of the them might have still gone to the main. And if just might have been Johnson seeing as he was standing before Evans, he probably could have had his bike up before Evans.

I never said anything to the contrary. I said, had Johnson not went out of his way to give TE the oppertunity to be unsportsman like, he might have actually made some money.. After all he too is suppose to be a professional. :bang:

No he wasn't justified, stop reading things into what I type. Try just taking it for what is said.

Evans is a hothead, everyone knows Evans is a hothead. Johnson knows Evans is a hothead. Johnson was the first one up, and instead of going to his bike and trying to continue the race like a professional, he antagonizes Evans. What did he expect, Evans to apologize and help him pick up his bike? Maybe dust off his Jersey and give him a kiss on the cheek as he rides away.

Given a chance to be stupid, Evans will take it, the guys that ride with him know that better than we do. And unless they want to start a fight in the middle of the race they need to remember it. If Johnson needed to deal with Evans, he should have waited until the race was over and not lowered himself to Evans' level.

If I'm Evans, I get up and try to run for my bike and Johnson is already standing, waiting to get in my face on my way to the bike and screaming at me while pointing his hand in my face. I throw up my arm to push him out of my way, barely looking in his direction and continue to go for my bike. He comes over and hits me in retaliation for shoving him and then it's on. That's how I see the sequence. Johnson should have gotten up and gone for his bike to get back in the race. He's not being paid to stand there and get into it, regardless of whether the takeout was intentional or not. Get in his face after the race.
