UFO side frame guards ?

when you install these do you guys keep the factory aluminum resovior guard and install the plastic guard over the top of it or loose the aluminum guard ? it puts it in a little bit of a bind but a extra zip wold probably hold it in place . how you guys install yours ?

I put them over the top - and had no problem since. Just zip tie as tight as you can and they wont move.
