It's awesome. Tommy Hahn (w/little brother as well) is from Belpre, KS. Probably 80 people at most.

I went on a 3900 mile west US trip on a Yamaha VMAX a long time ago--my favorite state: Idaho. From the Salmon river, to the Snake. From the mountains to the moonrocks outside Pocatello. From the panhandle to the potato fields. Most diverse state out there.

BTW--those hilly wheat fields near your Moscow are awesome.

Look... unless someone posts in "IM" spelling/lingo and/or it's obvious that they just don't give a damn, let's cut them some slack.

California has ever other state beat on diversity. Ocean, beaches (ain't got that in Eye dee hoe), tallest mountain in lower 48 (Mt. Whitney) to the lowest point (Death Valley, below sea level). And those two are about 100 miles apart.

Huge mountain ranges, with world class features (Yosemite), rivers, lakes, forests, deserts. Largest trees in the world. Fog, severe clear, snow, perpetural summer.

Huge cities and tiny little hamlets. Largest agricultural producing state. One of, if not the, largest tourist state. 7th largest economy in the world. Huge, wide open area to ride bikes.

There's one thing that got my attention every year as a kid growing up in Montana. Watching the Pasadena Rose Parade, where it was always 72 degrees, big blue skies, folks dressed in light clothes.... while I was listening to the 40 below zero wind whistle threw some tiny crack in the weatherstripping.

lol! 'my state is better than yours!'

When I lived and trained in San Diego, I was always kind of sad for the native Californians. The people who's family had lived and bred there since the 1800's would just shake their head, thinking about how I-8 in Mission Valley used to be a dirt road and you could see forever to the farthest mountains from anywhere in that county.

I am Darwinianly Kalifornian (born on California Street in San Francisco), but simply because it's overpopulated, used and abused, its appeal to me has withered. All the New Yorkers and their lawyers, and their cousin's lawyers have destroyed the place and are on the move to Colorado....

Ask all the people a few miles from here in Denver and the "Springs" what they think of 'Kalifornians' ;)

I think California is slightly overrated. If you don't surf, why bother? Problem is, I Surf and it is a regular part of my life. Being out at Trestles or Churches at 6am with the sun coming up catching barrells with a few of your bodies is second only to one other activity that I won't bring up.

They've got the same feelings towards Texans... who tend to vacation/ski/hunt there a LOT. I'll never forget a message written in a state park outhouse there: "here I sit, buns a flexin', about to give birt to another Texan" :p
