Using Alcohol to tweak your jetting...?

Has anyone heard of this being done successfuly? I was thinking that ethanol or Isopropyl could be added to the fuel mixture to lean it out. When Alcohol is added to gas at the station to reduce emissions, is the reduction a result of a leaner fuel air ratio? If a person was going to be riding 1 or 2 thousand feet higher than normal could you compensate by adding alcohol at 5 or 10%, or if you have the option just by some city gas that has a blend already?. Is there another fuel additive that would have the desired leaning effect?
what do you guys think

I know several people who drink alcohol and then hope their bike will run better the next time they ride!

'Tis true. The more alcohol I absorb, the faster my bike was on its last run and the higher and longer the jumps were. Amazing how it perfects the jetting.
