I know most of you are aware of the fact that abunch of green groups and state reps rick larsen is one dunn is another and I forget the other one. How they are trying to make from index up to stevens pass an protected area. Well anyways I couldn't believe my ears yesterday. On the radio on a country station this pre paid commercial came on. It was paid for by the sierra club in this state about contacting rep. Dunn to support the new wilderness area. No no ridding areas are impacted by the area they are talking about but still its NOT NEEDED IN THAT AREA!!! the local towns up there would suffer hard from it. Well anyways the commercial starts up with some guy talking about how he and his daughter used to go up to the skykomish forest for relaxation/hiking etc. Then all of a sudden you hear a chainsaw start up and then he go's on to say please contact rep dunn to stop the logging and get this DESTRUCTIVE dirtbiking in this area. Well first off I have a problem with that statement in a major way this area they are talking about there is NO public ridding area in this designated wilderness area unless it was on private land. So that statement REALLY made my blood boil. So I say contact dunn and say you oppose to wilderness area it will kill the towns of index and skykomish in fact most of the logging that go's on up there is on wyerhauser land or department of nature resouces land. This is just another scam by the greens to lock up the forests from us. When contacted by rep rick larsen about it orginal email from him he was all beeming about how it was a great idea and so many people a whole massive 2000 responses a few months ago where for it. So when replied to the fact that was against the wilderness act never got a reply about it ever just disappeared. When need to speak up greens are putting words in your mouth once again.

Sorry wasn't sure if to post this in the other forum.

I heard a similiar commercial commercial here in Portland about the Tillamook area. I was one the phone and didn't get the details but the basic idea was to stop logging this area and close it down because of some bird. Another case of total and complete B.S. on the side of greenies. If you live in a home made of wood quit bitching about logging!

Yes thats what it was about here's what the email said I got on aug 31st.

**Into the Wild**

Flying high over Eagle Rock and Ragged Ridge was a highlight of August as
I took an aerial tour of the area in Mt. Baker National Forest proposed to
be designated as a wilderness area. The Wild Skykomish wilderness area, as
it's currently being called, is proposed to protect the Skykomish river
basin that includes salmon and other wildlife habitat.

Congressional designation of this area as pristine wilderness would ensure
its preservation for years to come. PLEASE NOTE, no official boundaries
have been set yet. Many people have concerns about the proposal and that's
why I am currently working to establish its exact location while avoiding
active roads and private property.

If you're interested in learning more about the wilderness proposal, my
office is hosting a "Wilderness Workshop" in the Monroe High School
Cafeteria on September 6, from

Discussion topics will include recreational opportunities, conservation
values, and U.S. Forest Service wilderness management issues.

It's good to hear that you have your ears open my friends. This is a perfect example of how things get turned against us. The people behind these messages are very dedicated to their cause. I'm sad to say, they are much more dedicated than we are. Write, email and phone to express your opinions. If we remain to be an apathetic, retroactive and disorganized group, we will lose everything. Thanks for posting this MXP1MP, Bbboom,Tracktor2.
P.S. Bbboom. What goes on up there in December/January? Is everything closed up for winter or can I do some 'splorin'? Tell Karl about the Till-u-puke post.

I said to contact rep dunn, I'm not positive on exactly who I think its hans dunnshee is so I heard he's a total A hole. I wrote him about the nova gas tax thing and my reply was oh i'm sorry you missed out on that its not up for the 3rd quarter voting or whatever. What happened to that? cause we lost are OWN tax dollars to the greens on that and THAT REALLY REALLY makes me mad if we did.

Ms. Dunn Here

Rep. Rick Larsen - WA 2nd District:

Mr. Larsen Here

Write Your Rep:

All the Reps Here

Now we need to find out exactly what they are proposing to get letters sent to Dunn, Larsen and your very own Rep.

Endoqwest, over here in the Eastern part of the state our riding will end by the end of November at the latest due to snow. Not sure but I think the upper el's on the Wetside also get covered with snow. Central WA, is usually rideable year round but as far as I know that is all desert riding.

As far as traveling goes, all depends on what's going on at work around here. I am at the mercy of our DOT's unfortunately.

I would think that ridding at the dunes on moses lake would make great winter ridding.
