I am in the market for a 55" flat screen TV. But so many types and choices. Plasma, LED and LCD. Whats the best whats the worst? Whats the difference and why? Any info would appreciated.
I am not going to run out and buy one just yet. I've got to keep my priorities in line and get a new 450f first. But I do want to get a TV.

Led , energy saving , life expectancy
LCD , brighter for rooms with windows, way less radiant heat, also energy saving
LG is the brand I went with for living and bedroom
Bonus , the remotes work in either room

I have a Sharp Aquos, my wife loves it. Plasma comes with a good price tag these days, for a reason. They are prone to dead pixels. LED/LCD is really all about the backlight, most of the time LED will give you more even lighting across the screen. A tip to check that is to take a solid medium gray jpeg image with you on a cd and take a look at it on the TVs that you are considering. If it has bright and dark spots, then the backlighting is not up to par.
