water hole under water pump?

whats with the hole under the water pump? it was leaking so i looked in the manual and it said something about the seal being bad. could someone explain this to me? thanks

The "weep" hole is there to warn you that the water pump seals are worn out. It's time to replace them. It's an easy job.

Just wake a new copper washer on the weep hole and a new o ring around ya water pump cover ya will be right!

That hole is there because if your water seal is bad, it can let water leak into your case and contaminate your oil, causing damage. The water is draining out the hole instead of into your case. Get the seal replaced ASAP.

Are you talking about plugging up the weep hole???? I hope you aren't because that would be very, very bad. That hole is there for a reason. When the seal starts going, the water is either going to come out that hole or go into your engine.
