do any of you guy know of any cool websites devoted to vintage mx bikes where i can read about bikes from the good old days. i am starting to develop an interest in vintage mx and would eventually like to restore an old bike if i run across one, maybe like an old yamaha from the late 70's or something.

cool site johnny moto! i didn't realize that vintage racing is as popular as it is, especially out west. i was in arizona on vacation this past january and went to speedworld to watch some local racing because i was staying near the track. they have a vintage track there and they were racing when i was there, i was shocked to see so many vintage bikes. the speedworld vintage track looked like a lot of fun too! i actually plan on moving to arizona next summer, i would be kind of cool to maybe do some vintage races.

AHRMA are good people, I think, though they do get criticized. Member run, so you can vote out the bad if you want to. They also, along with the AMA, put on Vintage Motorcycle Days in Ohio each year. The MX races are great as are the Dirt Track and Vintage Trials. I have competed with AHRMA in roadracing only, and I think they do a great job in what they do.

A certain vintage bike guru (he's vintage too) that used to write for Dirt Bike in the early years absolutely HATES that bike.
