Hey! I'm new here so hey everbody! I need some help trying to figure out a new bike to get. I have a TTR 125 right now, I'm really good at riding but I think I've outgrown it. I'm about 5'5 110lbs. I do MX riding and a little trail riding. I really dont know what I should get. Please give me some suggestions! Anybody! LOL! Thanks nascarmac

My first intution was to recommend an 80cc or 85cc bike, but at your hieght, in another 2 inches you will have outgrown an 80cc bike too. A 125 would definitly be too tall unless it was lowered. I would check out the KX/RM100 or the new KTM105SX.

I would suggest a bike with a bike more suitible for lower end power, so the bike would be better for all types of riding from trails to tracks. You might be a tiny bit short for a 125 cc, but Kawasakis KX 125s and expecially KTM 125 SX's run pretty small. Or if you dont have the money for a new 125, (because with all the extra fees and things you need your paying over 6 grand) a used bike would be a good decision. Or maybe even look into like what was allready mentioned, a KX/RM 100 or KTM 105 SX :)

Either way, any 2-stroke would be great!

How about a CRF230 or an XR200. I know they aren't MX bikes but neither is a TTR125. Plus, they are great trailbikes that require little maintanance. There aren't too many choices for people in that gap between an mini 85 and a fullsize 125.

Good luck,
Joey

Sure there is. I rode my 80 untill I was 5'6" and I was 135lbs. Not the prettiest sight. The KX100 is the best way you can go at your size. Port it and it makes a great trail bike. KTM makes a 125EXC thats a smaller bore 200EXC. Its not that common though. A KDX would be ideal but not w/o lowering it. A XR200 is a good reliable bike too. GASGAS makes a 125 and 200 trail bike too but good luck on finding one(unless you go to Europe). A lot of bikes can be moded to fit you so don't think its too big at the dealer. D-mans right a 2 stroke is a good way to go.
