What did you use?

I saw a thread on here just a few days ago and I can't find it anymore. My wife is a photographer and someone had posted up a set of pictures that they had taken and then edited with a certain free downloaded editing program. The pictures weren't of riding, more of small buildings with a bit of landscape. One of the pictures was from a response and it looked like it had been taken in a small fishing village or a set of surf shacks and I was explaining it too my wife but wanted to show her and now I can't find the post, no matter how I have searched it. Any help would be great finding the post or even telling me what program was used and how to get it. Thanks a lot for any help.
