we're all here cause we love to ride BUT what are your other hobbies??

I've been in and out of the remote control car/truck hobby for the last 17 years
I have over $6000 rapped up in R/C's. every thing from gas,electric,cars and trucks. the majority of my R/C collection is vintage tamiya trucks (bruiser/mountaineer/hilux)
metal work and wood work
I also like to golf as often as I can.

SO what are YOU into?

My little brother (14yrs) is big into the R/C car racing. He's actually really good at it, wins all of his races (little punk). I tried it, wrecked his "race" car..ooops..Mailbox ran out in front of me!
I am into rollerblading though. I used to be big time into aggressive skating, but we moved back to Michigan from So. Cal. and I kind of got out of it (No good places to skate). So now I just skate for fun. I actually used to work at a skating rink here in town, I was the only employee who had blades. Also into street bike riding, road trips, camping, and learning how to play golf.

i got into bicycling for awhile. i did alot of mountain biking and some road touring. i got out of it a few years ago. i still have my bikes but i don't ride much. i have a couple street bikes (motorcycles) that i ride regularly.

now, i mostly stay busy coaching youth basketball and soccer. i have a pretty good soccer team this year. last week we played our first game of the season. we played a neighboring town who is our arch rival. we've never beat them before. we won 13-1. i got my first gatorade (ice water) shower. :)

Used to race a RC .. open 4wd, Optima MID, carbon fiber chasis (before carbon was cool), custom wound motors, all dat stuff. Got to expensive. More trophies than in MX no doubt. Still have my last radio and the car, no drivetrain.

These days, moto is all I can afford and have time for.

I also used to have a few RC trucks. I gave alot of money to Team Losi. My newest hobby is sport bikes. :ride: My wife says thats it for awhile.

Way back i was into rc's Had a few rc10's a 10T, a yokomo 4wd and a few others that i raced.. Before that i was into drag racing at Fremont dragstrip (the strip in American Graffitti2) then i really got into bikes and eventually jet skis.. Had a Kawai x-2.. Then i strted wrenching on skis, then got into racing, i never did race, but i helped out alot.. I was a holder.. The last year i raced, my rider took 4th over all in expert ski at the Worls FInals.. Mind you we got 4th w/a dnf, our MSD took a dive on the starting line.. We had 1's all across the board til our 2nd moto, oh well :laugh: Now i just ride skis for fun and fish up at the Sacramento Delta during the summer. the rest of the year is BIKES :yeehaw:

They did, i rember having a Kyosho Optima, had a lengthened chassis, didnt turn too good LOL My fav car/truck too race was the RC10T.. I think i'll head up into the attic :laugh:

Well, as my screen name implys, I have an airplane (an RV6 that I built). But to be honest, given an hour to do something fun, the bikes win every time. I'm really MotorcycleJunkie now...but that's a long screen name!

I'm also into running, I play guitar and bass (in a blues band) and I'm into what ever sport my kids are playing at any given moment. I'm into hanging with my friends. During the winter, riding is replaced with skiing and plowing the driveway.

I like to lay on the couch and watch TV in my underwear. Every once in awhile I'll eat a frozen pizza and down a six-pack of what ever's on sale.

To stay in shape, and pay a few bills, I mow my ex-wifes lawn and clean her pool. I get a kick out of showing up in my work boots and cut-offs while she's entertaining guests. For some reason my butt gets real itchy so I have to scratch a lot while I'm edging the lawn with my old Homelite trimmer, which is belching pre-mix left over from DW02 (at least the party guests don't have to worry about west nile virus, Hahaha). Of course I get hungry from all the hard work so I gotta dive into the chex mix with old butt-itchin, chain-cleanin', filter-oilin' fingers.

It's good to have hobbies other than just dirt bikes because a diverse set of interests makes a person very desirable to the opposite sex. Hey, it's workin' for me it could work for anyone.

well besides dirtbikes and qauds, im into music, i play guitar for a band called the hellfish. i do alot of camping. and HUNTING i love being outside. hunting actually got me into qauds, and qauds got me into dirtbikes. my friend took me out to by my deerstand, and i walked the rest of the way..but that was my first time i was ever on a qaud, and thats where it all started... :)

My other hobby is running. I started running as a means getting cardio fit for doing enduro's and hare scrambles. I ussually run 4-5 times a week, and last year I ran my first marathon. Other hobbies Ive been thru include, golf, boating, RC racing (10T), and autocross.

Okie, did ya ever race at Hobby Town in McHenry back in the day?

I'm supposed to be restoring a 68 vette, but I've got more money than parts in/on the car. 'What's that box for?' Can you say wiring harness? That's where I am now. :|

I've been into RC's on and off for the past 15 yrs or so. Still have an original RC10 electric buggy, and a pristine (never been run since rebuild) Super Champ. Let me know if ya want a vintage buggy to go along with your trucks. [wink]

Right before I got into bikes I raced an RC10GT and had an RC10-DS for fun. Many interchangeable parts between those two (based on the same chassis). I wasn't much for racing since most of the guys at the track were Trekkie type uber-nerds. I also got tired of the endless tuning on those little motors just to get them running right.

I used to drag race a car. Got into Sportsters and wound up doing some speed trials at Bonneville and Maxton, NC. Love to downhill ski but rarely do anymore. Like JP, I hangout on 'net forums and troll. Peeps around here are too level headed. LOL

Have three rug rats now. My life isn't mine so much anymore. :( But the oldest is neary 8 so I have lots of minibikes in my future. :)

I like the dirt bikes, and I also have a quad which is mainly used for hunting (oh yeah, I go hunting too), but when I'm too lazy to worry about where Predator2 and my Li'l Buttercup are on the trail, I'll ride it so the both of them can ride with me.

I also enjoy the lawn care like VD, but unlike him, she's still my current wife (and no, I only wish she owned a liquor store). I do put on my grungy cutoffs and crack open a beer, I'll even gas up the mower. But, that's where similarities end, because I'll pull up a lawn chair and watch her mow the lawn! She's a keeper.

I also enjoy sitting on my front porch shirtless in a pair of bib overalls with a shotgun draped across my lap while I holler at the neighbor kids "GIT OFFA MY PROPPITY!!!"
