I ride a yz250, i started on a ttr. i would say yz250f. i think its a great bike. does wheelies in every gear easily, and has alot of power. my bike beats alot of the 125 2 strokes. but 4 stroke is easier to work on and easier to maintain and ride IMO

Thank for responding. The reason i wanted to know if a 125 2 stroke would be ok becuase they are offering me a really good deal at the dealership. I am just wondering if i am to heavy for a 125 2 stroke.

Go with a 250F. If you've never ridden before, a 4-stroke will have an easier power band to manage. 125s are pretty peaky.

I think that since this will be your first bike, you should get the 125 2-stroke. They are stupid-easy to work on compared to the 250F. The nicest thing about starting out on the 125 is that it won't let you get away with sloppy technique or a lazy riding style. You'l learn to ride it correctly by default, rather than by coasting through coners and twisting the throttle to clear jumps.
