The mags. keep say that the KTM's steering lock to lock is very narrow and it is hard to turn in the pits and out on the trail why does KTM do this and do there EXC models have the same problem?

I dunno, but aren't the steering stops bolts and couldn't they just be turned in some more?

It's not a big problem since it can be fixed easily. It's just more of the same pro-jap bike bias from the dirt rags.
The big frame bikes can have the stops turned in or removed.
The small frame 125/200sx need radiator spacers to get full rotation so the forks don't hit the radiators.
On both bikes you can also move the ignition box to give you some extra space turning left.
I always steer with the back end anyway.

They stear farther to the locks than my 2000 KX 125. You gotta put that thing on casters to get it out of the garage, but you never notice it on the track or in the woods.
