what other CR/CRF wheels fit 00-01 CR250

I have a '01 CR250 and I'm looking for spare wheels.

1. Are the front & rear wheels the same for all 00-01 bikes 125/250/500 (hubs,axles,etc)? I was told they all should be the same but later read something about the axle & spacers possibly being different, and almost everything on ebay shows '96-01 cr125/250... so I wanted to confirm it here in a 2-stroke forum.

2. what other years CR/CRF, if any, will fit the 00-01 CR250's?

Here's a start:
The 125 rims aren't as wide as the 250.

I'm pretty sure that the front wheels are all the same..

Rears are wider on the 250.

00 and 01 CR250 wheels are identical.

2000-2008 CR/CRF wheels should all work on the 00/01....00-03 I am 100% sure of. The 125/250f rears are more narrow as everyone has said. Use the axle and spacers that came with your bike. The brake rotor on the rear is different on the 02 and up so if you use one of those on your 00/01, it will wear the outer 7/8ths of the braking surface leaving a ridge on the inner 1/8. It works fine. I haven't tried putting an 00/01 rotor on an 02+ wheel yet.

Sounds like swopping rotors might do the trick. Anyways, good info.

96 to 08 front wheels from CR 125/250/500 & CRF 250R/450R will interchange. 95 CR 125/250 will also work.

00 to 08 rear wheels from CR 125/250 & CRF 250/450 R/X will interchange.

The brake rotor bolts are different after '02, but just use the rotor for the year of the hub.

CR125 & CRF250R = 1.85 x 19
CR250 & CRF450R = 2.15 x 19
CRF250X = 1.85 x 18
CRF450X = 2.15 x 18
