I have an '87 yz 250 I bought 6 months ago, it now has about 50 hrs on the top end the guy who had it before me put in. It still gets about 200 psi on the compression check. Is there somewhere I can tell what size top end I need to order without taking it apart? Are there any numbers visible somewhere? Thanks for your imput.

If it's bored out, you'll need to pull off the cylinder to see what size it is. It might say on the topmof the piston in which case you can pull off just the head and check. The last piston I had that was overbored didn't say on the piston, only on the box it came in. I'd ask the guy who replaced it last as that's who put it in.
