Okay as of today I am still looking to buy a bike and I guess something that would be important to know before I buy a bike is what year did the nicom cyliders come out in the CR and YZ 250 class motorcycles?
Nicom is an aftermarket plating, that replaces the Nikasil plating used from the factory on all CR and YZ 250's since about 1985. Infact, there have been very few non-plated full sized motocross bikes since at least 1990.
Ahh okay nikasil. I knew it was N somthing plating. I just didn't want to buy a 2000 model bike and find out that 2001 had the plated cylinders. Thanks for your reply.
