What's that smoke?

Ocassionally, when I shut my bike down, small puffs of smoke will continue to come out of the exhaust for a minute or so afterwards. This has only happened twice, but it's got me a bit concerned. Ive never noticed this before on any other bike, and I'm wondering what could be the cause. Am I just overreacting or could this be a problem. My hope is that the exhaust is still sufficiently hot to burn off some oil that didn't burn during combustion (or some smoke that was trapped in the exhaust is slowly making it's way out), but I'm afraid it could be more serious (blown crank seal, faulty water pump, etc.).
The bike is an '03 KX250 with an FMF Factory Fatty pipe(and PV spacer), FMF Shorty silencer, V-Force reed cage, and I run Philips B32 fuel mixed with Maxima K2@40:1. My current jetting is stock except for a 50pilot(stock 52). The bike ran better with a 162 main(165 stock), but I wanted to play it safe and stay on the rich side until I get to the bottom of this smoking issue.
Has anybody seen this before? Is it something to worry about? I've kind of ruled out a blown seal because the bike does not visibly smoke once it's warm, and I've not had a problem with my oil level dropping. Sorry for such a long post and thanks for any help that you can give me.

it may be something as simple as your exhuast packing is chocker of oil and gunk and it is smouldering after it has gotten hot.

tristan18au, Thanks for the reply, you may be right. I'm going to repack my silencer when I get a chance and see if that solves my problem.

Racer#213, I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one this has happened to.Thanks for your response.

Must agree with the above posts. Your muffler packing is probably saturated with oil (probably not a whole lot of carbon yet) and that's smoldering after getting heatened up from riding.

Thanks JBoomer, I just got done repacking my silencer and the old packing was pretty saturated. I guess I'm safe to go ahead and lean her back out now. Thanks to all for your replies.
