hey, have a 91 kdx 250

lost a rear bearing, tore up my hub, the jbweld seems to be holding ok for now but I would like to fix it right

my wheels are pretty bad as it is, bent or eggshaped they ride like crap on the street but its ok off road

i would like to swap over to a normal mx rim, does a kx wheel fit, i would like to swap front and rear, does anybody know?

on a side note, I'm so excited to be riding this, i broke it almost 2 years ago right after I bought it but me and a buddy fixed it and I have been out riding it, it's a blast, my buddy says it hauls ass just as much as his 99 rm250, which i doubt but it is still fast enough to excite me which is really a surprise because I have a 250 or so hp streetbike, going fast in the dirt is way different than on the street

Wow! That is an amazing bike. Just seeing the pictures gave me an adrenaline rush.

As for the KDX250 hub and wheel, if no luck finding a '91 - '94 KDX250 hub, you might look into a KLX250 or 300. Possibly a very late '80's KX250, too. With any luck, maybe a common KDX200 hub will work.

I'm not sure if any of these will fit, but they might be worth a shot. You might want to call Jeff Fredette at Fredette Racing Products. He will probably know what hubs will be suitable replacements.

Oh, and you can also view parts diagrams and numbers at www.buykawsaki.com

Yeah it's a rush. Kinda like riding a 2 stroke the way the power comes on. It's fairly tame until it spools then it's like the hit that a 2 stroke gets

what makes hubs different. I know some have different axle diameter I was just wondering on the sproket and disc lining up

I picked up a '95 KX 125 basket case and was able to bolt it's rear tire/rim/hub straight onto my 200H, 220A model KDXs. I could not tell any difference in the handling, although I've heard a good rider could. Also using the 35mm AS carb.
front?
dont think so, you will need spacers etc and I don't thin the caliper will lign up

Look on the parts diagrams on the Kawasaki site under Owner Info / Parts Diagrams. If you click around, it will show what other models had the same hub. Be aware of rim size if you shop for a whole wheel.

Good luck with it, and cool Ninja!
