Where to ride around San Francisco?

My man and I are bidding a job down there and we could end up staying there for 6-9 months starting around the 1st of the year. What tracks and trails are around there? We'de be living in Woodside, just south of SF. What about jetskiing or surfing?

Most of the riding is about 3 hrs away, Metcalf which is a small county park is 30 minutes, Hollister is a state park is 1.25 hrs away.

You'll just be an hour away from the Pacific. The area that you'll be moving into is the cycling hub of the area.

There are some great areas in Northern California, but unfortunately the best ones are a pretty long haul from the Bay Area.

For the water sport info, you can surf from Ocean beach, S.F. down to Big Sur(south of Carmel). There's about a hundred spots in between. Favorite jet ski locations are: Half moon bay, Alameda estuary, and central valley reservoirs like Don Pedro etc. You can e-mail me for more info if you like.
