Just wondering which ones you already have tickets for or plan on attending... maybe we can meet up with some other members at the races.
We already have tickets to Indy (won them at a race this past season) and we are still up in the air about St. Louis, Daytona, and Pontiac.
I'm bummed because Indy was supposed to be Bubba Stewart's debut in the 125 East - but now the rumor mill says he's gonna race the (less-competitive) 125 West series. The 125 East will be a good one, though - with another Brown vs. Langston battle (on very tight SX tracks... ). I wonder who will come out on top this time? Or will someone else steal the show?
Me and my buds are going to Indy (negative--no public access pits) and Atlanta (positive public access pits). As far as I am concerned, Atlanta is much better set up. By the way in Atlanta, if you go by a local Subway or Blimpie they will give you free pit passes.
Phoenix and hopefully Vegas. Don't particularly care for Bank One Ballpark venue-- liked Sundevil Stadium better(tailgater parties were better). Love Vegas-- One long party(and gambling too)!!!
Sure won't be St. Louis. Last time, only about 1/4 of the concession lines were open. 45 minute wait to get my kid a hot dog and they ran out of beer while I was waiting in line. Indy, on the other hand may be a possibillity.
Jaybird - I did the Daytona SX/riding in FL thing back in '00 and it was a blast (RC's first 250 win and Travis's first 125 win)!! It's during bike week... so that's always fun. And it's during lots of Spring Breaks - so the beach is hoppin too! Also - Daytona let people in the pits for FREE and the lines were nothing like the "indoor" SX'es - so that was really neat! And if you hang out at tracks like Hard Rock (Ocala) before the SX - you will see some pretty top-named guys come through there. There is also another cool track in Reddick called MX of Marion County (about 5-10 mins from Ocala) and a really awesome track in Bunnell (kinda by Daytona) called Pax Trax.
nikki,
I had done a job in Ocala awhile back and got real familiar with the area since I was there for about 2 months. I have been planning on a trip like that ever since. I also have some buddies who are kart racers in Starke.
Besides, DirtWeek...I can't imagine a better time. Great Florida weather, Natl. SX, Getting to meet and ride with top riders(HardRock), and BikeWeek to boot!
