1) your physical size (both height and weight are important)
About 6'1, 165 but getting bigger
2) How physical / aggressive are you ?
Will eventually become pretty aggressive.
3) what do you plan to ride- MX/SX tracks, woods, fields with friends or ?????
A little of each, but still want something that can jump good. We have a track about 10 min from my house with a track and some woods.
4) Do you have any riding experience?
Yes been riding all my life.
5) Do you think you will race ?
50/50 maybe after a while
6) Are you mechanically inclined and will you be doing your own bike work?
Yes, can put in a top end, etc and will be doing my own bike work.
7) Do YOU have a preferance to a brand/ motor choice (2 or 4 stroke)?
Have owned Kawasaki, Honda, and Yamaha, dont really want another honda, and i think that a yamaha is a better bike for what im wanting. Prefer two stroke, easy to work on and more fun.
8) Do you have a dealer close by your home that you might use and what brand(s) does he carry?
Yes, very good one, carries all brands and has alot of parts.
9) How much ($) do you plan to spend on a bike?
I'd like to spend between 2000 and 2500, but if that wont get me anywhere let me know.
10) Do you live in California?
Nope, GA
11) Your age?
16
12) anything else that you think would help form an opinion

From what i've looked at the yz250 2 stroke looks like it would be best, i like yamaha, Dad had a 450f and friend has a 450f bored to 480, and both like them. I love 2 stroke, I am used to working on them and love the powerband. After a while of getting used to the bike i will probably become pretty aggressive.

Thanks

I think you answered your own question...it sounds like you want a YZ250 2t. If you are as experienced as you say, the powerband shouldnt be a problem.
