I just put a FMF on mine. Much better. Free Reving, and a bit snappy. One problem. LOUD!!! You also have to make some kind of fitting to hold it to the exhaust pipe, because the original has a bulge and this one doesen't
thanks, but does "big gun" have a website. I dont really care how loud it is i just want the most power i can get. also will i have to rejet and and if i do what size jets do i need
If you want the most power out of your 200, I'd guess that the Big Gun would be the way to go. Its more expensive, because its complete system. Check them out at www.biggunexhaust.com
I know that FMF and Big Gun both provide jetting specs for every bike they sell an exhaust for.
On my 97 XR200 I had a cobra exhaust it was stil fairly quiet and ran great (more free revving) main jet was a 115 (that was the only change in jetting)

I get my kicks on a 2001' YZ426!
the person that put the fmf on. What model was it and how much did it cost. Also was it loud compared to the stock exhaust with the silencer out?? becuase i want the bike to be a little loud
XRBiker,
I got the Power Core IV Spark Arrestor and paid $225 for it. FMF lists it for like $270, but you'll only pay that much if you order from them. It's pretty loud. I wanted my bike to be loud to, and this exceeds my expectations. It is louder than stock with the silencer out, but with the FMF, it is the nicest sounding (and loudest) XR200 around. It's a nice looking unit, and very high quality. I would recommend it to everyone.
Are the supertrapp exhaust any good? It is the street/trail one. This is the only kind I can find for my 83 XR200r. Big gun only make them for the 86 and up.
